The Budhole: A Place for Friends

No no no, it says "BUD" hole. Get your minds out of the gutter!

One of my favorite projects in quite some time, for a good friend with a great sense of humor. This is a logo I created for him for his own personal backyard, hand-built bar + shed.

I created a custom typeface here, based off the letterforms of one of my favorite fonts, Cambria. As shown in the attached sketch, I wanted really tall x-heights on the lower case glyphs, something that I just wasn't finding. Also happy with the rounded caps on the swoosh, the "e" and the center of the "B". Can't wait to see this guy on all kinds of swag!
