Another use case for this component. Instead of showing crashes over time though, this would show crashes over a specific segment of road.

This helps to identify the extents of a segment as well as understand quickly where on the segment the problem areas exist. You can see the areas plotted as crashes or by crash cost - that way you know where the crashes and also the most expensive/severe crashes are occurring.
