Africa 2018

Hey!
I'd like to share with you a new logo concept...Did you saw Africa 2018 logo on Billboard or a TV ad?
Well, I saw it a lot and I like it but it's SOOO BIG! because of images details...So I wanted to try making it simpler :D
and this is the first result I got...What do you think?
