Virunga National Park
This is actually an old project by now. We finished this over a year ago, but due to incidents in the park, the website relaunch was pushed. The website is fully customizable, using a modular approach. This obviously altered some restrictions in terms of design and functionality and we had to think a bit different in terms of content hierarchy.
Dynamic content heavy sites like these requires a lot of work in terms of up-to-date content production. The park being in the Congo didn't make this task any easier and getting content or information from from the jungle to the internet is not that easy. We came up with a Park Log idea that features small rapid news posts from the park which should help the team in the Congo getting news to the public faster and easier. Big thanks to Brent Stirton for allowing us to use his beautiful photography for this great cause. I'm also very happy to say that the Mountain Gorillas has been down-listed from "critically endangered" to "endangered" for the first time since 1994.
