Wonka's Fizzy Lifting Drinks Packaging

First uploaded to the world wide web way back in 2001, my college packaging project has become de facto inspiration for branded bottles that didn't previously exist visually on screen or in the books (just Google "fizzy lifting drink bottles” and you'll see)! I get so many requests from people planning Willy Wonka parties that I've got a standard PDF template ready to send back.

For this fictional project, I designed a packaging scheme for the infamous drink from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory that, while not yet fully tested, makes you fly. In keeping with the theme, the case for a 4-pack resembles a thousand-pound weight, useful if the drinker of the beverage decides they don’t want to completely fly away.

As part of the marketing push for the “launch” of the product, a cardboard case resembling the weight was to be given out beforehand. This case unfolds into a brochure and a CD with games for the kiddies (in case there was any doubt that this was from 2001).
