Island of the Blue Dolphins

The young adult novel "Island of the Blue Dolphins" inspired this book cover illustration and layout. With a narrative of "A young girl, accompanied by her wild dog, survives on an island alone" and by honestly embracing my own illustration style, I worked to build a balance of line and texture.
