Gap Inc. | The Design Genome Project
We have a brand new report for The Design Genome Project and with it, a new illustration we wanted to share!
This week, we added Gap Inc. to the list of companies growing by embracing design. Learning with fast feedback helps Gap Inc. experiment and iterate, creating great experiences for their customers, both online and in-store.
As part of their feedback-gathering process, the designers at Gap Inc. use the cafeteria as a focus group for prototypes. This type of testing can improve the product by socializing designs to give more people a chance to feed back.
To help bring the report to life, we commissioned the excellent Ranganath Krishnamani, to realize the idea of the “Gapateria,”. To conceptually convey the idea of designs being tested, prototypes are playfully represented as UI designs mapped onto Jenga blocks. When they fall down at this stage, it’s a great opportunity to learn and improve!
