Apple ' s iBeacon , launched at the WWDC conference in 2013 , is a wireless communication scheme , and the product has opened the prelude to future micro - positioning . Thanks to the growing popularity of smart phones in recent years , the development of wireless networks is getting more and more mature . Most people are accustomed to getting the information needed from the network by using mobile phones , tablets and other mobile devices , thanks to the beacon technology that was published and actively promoted by Apple in 2013 .

IBeacon is a device equipped with a "low power Bluetooth (BLE)" communication function. The device uses BLE to send ID around, and the App receives the ID will respond to it. For example, when the communication module of ID is sent to iBeacon in the store, iPhone and iPad will receive ID information. If ID triggers the App, the App will receive information from the server.
