Focal Project | Case Study

INSIGHT:

Gentrification is a never-ending issue in emerging cities. When a city experiences rapid growth, art and community-related spaces are often first to be pushed out and replaced by commercial development.

OBJECTIVE:

To reinvigorate and and preserve the emerging cities’ arts and history through a multilayered campaign by:

• Generating interest through a competition that highlights talent from local artists
• Creating an artist-in-residence program
• Building a space to showcase and market the locally created, community inspired work.

In short, to highlight hidden potential.
