HELP: Set this dude

Eey guys! I would really like to have your precious tips on how to set this little mark I m trying to tweak under the great direction of the talented illustrator Paul du Coudrey.
What would be your choice?

The symbol is supposed to be the main icon of Studio.Mascot, an illustration studio dedicated to bringing stories and art to life in vital, playful and apposit methods.

The goal is to achive a solid logo mark. Not too serious but yet clean, lean, simple, stricking. A mascot rooted in ‘comic’ and a more ‘adventure-time’ mode of being. A luck carrier that identify a collective of artists that search, in a imaginative way, to escape from the struggling of the realism. A sort of trickster-figure-spirit-guide able to evoke “the beliefs” of this tribe, capturing the primitive aspects and features that concern a mystical-magical sphere.
