Calculated Decisions Dribble

When I made this I was feeling pretty anxious about the future and how many choices we get to make during our lives and how we are often clouded in our decisions. But I think there is also a lot of freedom that we get, a lot of chances to try new things and explore. For this reason I choose the image of colored smoke bombs. Though they may obscure our view, they are also freeing, fun and colorful. In the same way I think we should maintain a balance of having fun with our lives (blind leaps of faith!) instead of always making sure our decisions are cal_cu la ted

In making this, I was also inspired by the colors the graphic designer beeple uses in his famous daily series. Bright and futuristic pinks, purples, cyans.

Takeaway points:
- when working with an organic, detailed, complicated image, the text should contrast by being organized, aligned and easy to follow, which is why I choose to break up the title into syllables for a more dynamic composition and to lead the viewer's eye around the piece
- a contrasting color palette catches the eye
- in Photoshop, filter > distort > polar coordinates is a cool trick for futuristic circular patterns
- the best inspiration comes from the heart
