Catcher In The Rye

Since yesterday an American icon passed, I thought i would share something I created a long time ago.

It represents the two sides of the protagonist. The mask that Holden hid behind vs his actual face (contains powerful passages from the book on the right side). He is also to appear catching the kids from falling off the cliff, but at the same time a tear of sadness. I always loved how the dividing line caused a third face to appear.

I was pretty blown away the first time I read it, about 15 years later I created this which was how I envisioned the *teenth pressings new cover.
