Sacramento Concerts in the Park Motion Poster

I was approached by Downtown Sacramento Partnership to design their 2018 season poster. They wanted a poster that looked more in line with national music festival posters. I used their 2017 rebrand (color palate, single-line drawing vector aesthetic, squirrel mascot) as a jumping off point and added extreme perspective, illustration, and dynamism to design a poster that practically jumps off the page.
From there I developed it via After Effects into a motion poster to build anticipation and show off the event's biggest lineup to date.
Sol Collective then took my motion poster and used augmented reality to map the video onto flyers and signage at the lineup announcement event and throughout the park during the event. It was a hugely successful announcement event and really got people excited for the series.
