    The Cyclops blacksmiths Brontes, Steropes and Arges were famed in legend for creating Zeus' thunderbolt, Hades' helmet of darkness, and Poseidon's trident. Steropes' original idea was for the Cyclo-Cycle, but his brothers persuaded him that something traditional would be more appropriate for the gods.
