Perspective

This piece is another installation in my CMH2LAX series, consists of pictures of Los Angeles (specifically Santa Monica, Marina del Rey, and Playa Vista) superimposed within geometric shapes. This piece has meaning to me as it represents my move to L.A. (the cities I chose are all of the places that I have lived while here) and the journey to find a new home. The shapes represent the complexities of relocating and looking at my new surroundings through a foreign lens. After first glance, you start to see the pictures themselves just as I came to be comfortable and familiar with each city.
