Hotel Numerals

About a month back, I was asked by a local art hotel to develop supplemental and abstracted room numbers that would act as keepsakes for guests.

I proposed a set of blind-embossed, letterpressed numerals that would loosely be connected to the Hotel’s guiding aesthetics (influenced by Mondrian) and allowed for guests to create their own artwork.

On entering your room a small card would prompt you to interact with the numerals, and allow you to take the piece after your stay.

Draw, record notes, write down phone numbers, or just leave the numbers alone—the choice is up to you.
