Here is a mobile app design aiming at making it easier to search and find blood donors in an emergency.
People around using this app will get notified if they are suitible when you are at hospital looking for a donor. They can contact you via phone or get directions to the hospital.

Also at anytime, you can check the map and see if there's any need for donors.
