Chai Mansion

Removing old house for new house is a new tradition in China since the year 1949. Mostly we destroy shanties, because it’s randomly built, at least it was told, at the beginning, but sometime, the grand removing plan also enlists some well designed house…
OK, actually, the Chai Mansion was a typical shanty. Shantytown was a typical thing of Shanghai, it was telling the story of lives of those poor people in Shanghai. Yes, it’s dirty, narrow, and dark. It’s randomly built at the first place. But the randomly shape landscape was still has its charm, it has much more interesting details, and haunting maze-like paths, compared to the new giant towers.
Anyway, I’m really sorry they are disappearing.
