Honey from the Rock Bookcover

What a striking title! The content of this book was originally written by Abraham Kuyper in a daily newspaper column in dutch, but Lexham Press has partnered with the Dutch Reformed Translation Society to bring it to english speakers for the first time.

The concept of honey seeping out the rock was so clear in my mind when I saw this piece of marbled paper, so I worked with a few different gradient maps to achieve the look for the cover. I love those little flecks appearing out of the slate background. The hexagonal nameplate and drips on the top were just frosting on the cake.
