Pear Note 2: Search UI Concept
Chad Sellers, developer of Pear Note asked me to help improve the UI of the search in Pear Note 2.
The original search featured a search icon rather than search field and used a darker, heads-up display UI.
With some inspiration from Safari, I suggested a semi-transparent pop-up window with search results that loads immediately upon clicking or entering terms in the search window.
I also redesigned the icons shown in the second dark gray bar, to indicate whether a note contained audio, video or slides.
The highlight ended up not being light green (it instead is open to the user's selection at Finder level) but generally speaking this search UI was used for the final Pear Note 2 application.
