The Black Bedouin Tent
Fold out design for Saudi Aramco's 'From Earth & Stone' diary, featuring cultural aspects from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The black tent of Bedouin is a portable home also known as bayt al-sha'ar or literally "house of hair", and is usually made of goat hair or a blend of goat with sheep or camel fibres. Traditionally, the fibres are hand-spun and woven into a coarse cloth on a simple loom staked into the ground.
