7 Lessons Learned and Unlearned

Whenever I write blog posts, I like to make supporting illustrations that push me to try new things. This time, I tried: painting my lettering, cutting stencils, painting on balloons, setting up a janky video shoot in a makeshift "studio," using AfterEffects on a real project, and optimizing GIF export in Photoshop.

Thanks to Liz Donovan and Ben Frank for their (literal) helping hands in the video, and to @Kwok Yin Mak for walking me through all the post-production work!

Original lettering is attached. It was made super quickly and definitely far from perfect 😅
