Eureka - Milk Poster
Another poster I designed for the Eureka! Exhibit @Amy Hood and I curated and participated in. The show celebrates great moments in CA history in the style of design popular at the time. This piece pays homage to 2 events that live closely on the timeline. In 1977, Harvey Milk becomes one of the first openly gay officials in the United States when he is elected to the Board of Supervisors in San Francisco. In 1978 Gilbert Baker, inspired by Milk’s message of hope, creates the Rainbow Flag (originally with 8 colors), a symbol of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender movement.
