Yahoo Global Data Center Operations

These are exploration for Yahoo’s Global Data Center Operation. A big focus of the data center is the design. Shaped like a chicken coop, the facility relies on green energy (relying on outside air for cooling, flywheel-based energy storage system, etc), which is the first of it’s kind and is compared to no other. Instead of focusing my design on the literal representation of the chicken coop, I chose a more conceptual direction and used the data center machines for inspiration in my illustrations.
