Davis House

My grandma loved the first house I illustrated for her so much that she heavily hinted that she would like another house from her childhood to match.

The Davis house was built in the 1870s by my great-great-great relatives. It was a well loved home for many years until the 1950s when the last occupant moved out. By the late 1980s it had fallen into disrepair and was torn down. Before its demolition, the original 1870s walnut woodwork was salvaged. My dad is now in possession of the antique walnut wood and has used it for many special woodworking projects so that the legacy of the Davis house can live on.
