Book Cover Design: To Kill A Mockingbird
A key theme in To Kill A Mockingbird is Innocence and particularly the loss of it. Through Scout and Jem's development as characters, their childlike innocence is lost as dark events occur in their lives. This is shown in this cover through by combining images of children toys and items (including the gum left by Boo Radley for Scout and Jem) as well as the handwritten childlike text, with a knife.
