4-H Building

This magnificent three story, monolithic concrete structure commands a view of the entire fairgrounds and surrounding vicinity. Built after the 1938 State Fair by the WPA (Works Progress Administration), the 4-H Building was dedicated in a ceremony on Aug. 29, 1940. Home to thousands of youth during the fair’s 12-day run, the second level kitchen serves more than 40,000 meals each fair.
