A lot of folks were asking me about my process, this is not exactly a process gif, but I hope it's interesting.
Also I wanted to share this cause I find really funny how bad illustrations may look at the beginning, then you work on them, get things together and suddenly it's not that bad anymore.
I always do sketches and then digitalize them. I work in illustrator and the texture is later added in photoshop ( last few steps in gif). For my latest shots I did the texture with default brush in dissolve mode. It's a common practice, not exactly something I use exclusively, I'm planning to explore more ways to do textures and maybe come up with something unique.
