Maggie's Mission

I am posting this to ask for help. My daughter Maggie Schmidt died June 1, 2017. Less than three short months ago. She was only 17. We are all devastated by her loss. She died of Malignant Rhabdoid Tumors, a rare and aggressive cancer that struck her suddenly last August and made her sick, the doctors and hospitals thought it was a burst ovarian cyst that hemorrhaged. They were wrong and by the time she was diagnosed in October of 2016, it was stage 4. We tried, she tried, doctors tried, to save her life but sadly, we could not.

Maggie asked us to help other children before she died. And we will be going full steam ahead with a foundation that raises awareness of children's cancer, raises funds for rare cancer research and raises money to help other young adults, children and families suffering from what we went through.

As a designer myself, I am struggling with the logo for her foundation. The tagline will be Maggie Gives Back, I've already purchased the URL "maggiesmission.org".

This rough logo design is actually based on a drawing she did of her initial "M" before she got sick. To me, it resembled the cancer ribbon. I would really like to use this, but it needs help. I'm feeling like it looks like a wishbone when I really want it to look like a ribbon(s). I like the simplicity of the line art.

Would anyone be willing to help with this project (the logo)? I want it to be perfect. The color teal was chosen because the cancer started on her ovary we believe and it symbolizes ovarian cancer, the color gold is used to symbolize children's cancer. Please post here or PM me with suggestions on changes you see that would be helpful. I really want this to be perfect but like I said I am struggling.

It's been very hard to concentrate. I miss her so much.
