Finish The Kill

We all have had this challenge in many shapes or forms, when you are close to the finish line, confidence is wavering, focus is collapsing, and time is ticking down. For me, the differences between the easy decision, to just quit and be happy with the work, and the hard decision, to head down, lean in, and power through it, are very small.

So when that crossroad appears, I just try to imagine a burning eagle powering down behind me, about to eradicate my body and soul in a furious barrage of flames, so it lights a fire in my ass to finish hard, take no prisoners, and go out in a blaze of glory.

So most of the time I finish stuff, turns out better than I expected, and after I recover from the crash, I just get right back on the back of the eagle, soar through the cosmos and look for another quest or demon wizard to dethrone.
