Mockup

I created these pieces for an internship, to feature in an exhibition with the portrayal of women of all shapes, colours and sizes as beautiful at its essence. The aim is to dismantle the stereotypical images of beauty and replace them with ideals that are far more inclusive. The Black Supersheros exhibit takes superheroes played by white woman or portrayed as being white, and gives them more realistic body shapes as well as a variety of skin tones. Here you can see two such modified characters drawn in my own illustrative style. These characters (and each of us) are in no way limited or confined by their skin colour, gender or disabilities.
