Wikipedia Redesign
Hello all, happy Wednesday! Here's a submission for my friend @Conway Anderson 's awesome new platform in beta, Prompts.io.
✔ Product Goals:
1. decluttering content without actually eliminating the actual content
2. emphasis on main content
3. organize top nav in a better way
4. show what an unlogged in/general public user looks like
5. inviting for users to be able to edit
✔“Multiple issues” box:
1. clean up since content is excessive; users most likely don’t read
2. display more of a warning to provide urgency
✔Creative Goals:
1. keeping the 3 row layout but making it more interesting
2. stand out from other wikipedia redesigns online (dribbble/behance)
3. clean yet interesting
✔Questions:
1. do people actually log into wikipedia?
2. if most of the user base goes on to learn or find references, why is the view source/view history available to anyone, even those who aren’t logged in?
3. should view source/view history only be for logged in users who are editing?
