Drawing in Illustrator

I'm playing around with drawing in illustrator using the paintbrush tool and the pen tool for a new client. It feels weiiiird even though I've used it endless times. I'm just more comfortable drawing in photoshop, but then, it forces me to look for comic-y and hand drawn. Which works when it works... Anyone have tips or resources? I want to dive into it further and really get comfortable with AI.
