West Virginia - United Seals of America Project

Another icon that was apart of my United Seals of America series. This little fella was based off WV's state flower, the Rhododendron. I checked the spelling on that one at least four times by the way.

Even though it has been years since I was up there, these bold colors splashed all over the state and has yet to fade from memory. It's state's flag, designed is 1863 by Joseph H. Diss Debar, is a little dated to say the least. My approach was to take an element that is beautiful and make it the star of my take on this great state's banderole.
