043/100: Cleopatra

Cleopatra was the last active ruler of Egypt. She could speak 9 languages and was well-known for her intellect. When she came into power, she became involved with Julius Caesar which solidified her claim to power. After Caesar died, she got with with Mark Antony – the opposition to the new ruler. Later, after he lost a battle, Antony committed suicide and Cleopatra followed suit. She died via snake venom. After her death, Egypt became a province of the Roman empire.
