Independent InFact Identity

InFact is a fact-checking initiative that aims to debunk "fake news", launched in April 2017 by UK newspaper The Independent. I created the identity and article layout.

The logotype is based on The Independent's font Indy Sans, but to convey the idea of legitimacy I turned the descender of the f into a checkmark.

The article design uses a high contrast, colourised image with a gradient overlay which gives a more serious, inquisitive tone.
