CONVERSATION: Do you even sketch bro?

I am not a fan of sketching. I jump right on the computer and do my sketching in illustrator. I can usually tell if something's gonna work or not in the first minute of working on it but find if I sketch first it kills a bit of my creativity and usually none of my sketches look anything like the final. So far I've found very few creatives that don't sketch first...
