Useless Bay

Around this time last year I was commissioned by ABRAMS to illustrate the cover of a story set in Useless Bay - a bay on Whidbey Island here in Washington state. This was really cool because my wife's parents live on Whidbey Island and Useless Bay was an annual vacation spot for my wife's family growing up. That being said, it was a lot of fun reading through the manuscript while working on this project, being familiar with the area.
