Providence House
Some friends of mine have an Airstream in the backyard of their place on Providence St. in Austin, Tx. They tend to throw house shows fairly regularly, and I wanted to provide them with a couple of marks that they could use on various materials. I enjoyed making an icon out of their Airstream, but certainly the hardest part was the removing of details until it became legible at smaller sizes.
Process: Use photo of their Airstream, throw it into Photoshop, do Threshold, take it to Illustrator, hate the result of AI's tracing, drop photo into Illustrator, trace it myself, and then refine..
