Strelka and space
Today is April 12 in the country that have sent the first man in space! We all celebrate Cosmonautics day or Yuri's Night tonight!

On this day in 1961 a first manned space flight was made when Yuri Gagarin went into orbit and proved that man could survive in space. But before Belka (literally, "Squirrel" ) and Strelka (Стрелка, "Little Arrow") spent a day in space on 19 August 1960 before safely returning to Earth.
