Dutch newspaper website redesign

Redesigning the homepage of my favorite (Dutch) newspaper website for Fun & Practice.

=> See attachement for full screenshot. Their current website is http://www.volkskrant.nl/ In my opinion it deserves a little bit more white-space and less clutter.

This newspaper is well known for its quality news articles and opinion pieces. The fast latest news I imagine are shown on the left in a long stream of small hyperlinks. The middle is the important part with the big quality articles and on the right the obligatory advertisement and opinion articles. Bottom part, I imagine to be just small hyperlinks to articles organized by section.

PS#1. I do realize still many components are missing and that I didn't include their brand colors and typography..

PS#2. Please don't give me the 'Andy Rutledge' treatment. Just for Fun & Practice remember..
