GoDaddy Guidelines: Male Characters
Once you create a character, the first thing people want to do is take it out for a test drive. “Hey, Mildred, let’s see what this newfangled whiz bang thing can do.”
That’s great until they start putting your character into all sorts of odd yoga poses and emotional states and social situations that are completely foreign to a character’s, well...character. No, before releasing a character to a ravenous gaggle of product owners and UX architects, you need to set some ground rules, a few guidelines.
This is a glimpse of how we accomplish just that. Think of it as a getting-to-know-our-characters primer. Under “arm and body positions” notice the correct way for them to clutch a delicious beverage. Is he enjoying a beer, you ask? Nope, he’s consuming a good, old fashioned sarsaparilla. We like our characters to keep their edge.
