The Suffragette Says

I uploaded my first design to Cotton Bureau. Hoping it gets accepted and I can donate any money I make to PP.

I did a bunch of research about the symbolism and slogans of the Suffragette movement. The yellow ribbons were handmade and worn by suffragettes all over the country. Also yellow roses and flowers were worn to show support, as red roses were known to be anti-suffragette. I love this slogan that was on an old Suffragette poster because it still holds true today. We aren't just fighting for women's rights but equality among all races, genders, sexual orientations and religions.

Making a t-shirt design for sale like this has been on my bucket list forever. I recently got let go at my full time job shortly after coming back from maternity leave, so I'm fired up to do some great creative work for myself.
