Retro Robot Character Design

Character design for a company which convert films into CRU*. The client from Toronto (Canada) required a clean, dynamic, easily identifiable and minimalist mascot logo design, that can be primarily used on the website and on printed materials (sticker, letterhead, t-shirt and the like). Ideally he wanted to receive the logo as a scaleable vector file. Originally the logo he looked for would have been a cartoon ninja, jump or leap, with a film reel in one hand, but during the process of sketching he changed his opinion and he decided to retro robot.

*CRU is the preferred supplier of storage solutions for digital cinema and content distribution. As the days of film draw to a close, the digital cinema industry counts on CRU products to ensure movies make it to the theater on time.
