Hand & pencil symbol

I'm working in a little symbol. It is for the personal brand of an objects designer. I wanted to highlight his main tools: Hand and pencil.

I would like to ask you about feedback. Do you understand this shape? Do you think that it could be appropriate for an objects designer?
