iStat connecting animation

When iStat is connecting to a remote server, this animation plays. I might make a few more tweaks, but this should be close to the final animation we’ll use.

A black and white mask for a single ring was rendered in Cheetah 3D, to make it easy to get the correct shape and perspective (the original icon was rendered in Cheetah 3D as well, so I already had the scene and camera setup).

The duplicate rings, colourisation and glow were done in Photoshop. I kind of don’t mind editing short looping video like this in Photoshop.

It’s looking like we’ll need 20 frames at 30fps. We should easily be able to use PNG8 though, so I’m hoping the overall file size for the full animation will be quite small.
