VK Navigation Contest

Few months ago there was a contest by the largest european social network vk.com. The task was to fully reconsider navigation in iOS and Android mobile apps so the users could move between the main sections (news, friends, messages, notifications, profile) by one tap. Currently you should do two because menu is hidden in the sidebar.

I've made simple tab bars where put the main sections (yes, it's obvious decision, hi Facebook), got rid from the side menu and put notifications in navigation bar instead of it. Links to all other sections could be found at the "Other" screen which is also placed at the tab bar.

All screens for the both platforms you can see as attachment. The concept was one of the winning.
