The Last Bird Has Gone

This piece is a style exploration frame for a potential animation short. I am trying to get into digital illustration more intensely, but I find it very hard to go from paper to digital, things are always too flat or too dead. I want to find that sweet spot between a mere sketch and a statement of my own style. Not too polished, but not cheap-looking either. Not too much of Kyle's brushes, but beautiful textures... I'll get there eventually. Exercising is the key!
