Make It Better: Google Maps

I've been seeing #makeitbetter trending on the Dribbbs. It turns out to be great timing because I've had this idea for Google Maps. I'm not totally sure if they have this data or not, but nevertheless I think it would be useful.

This weekend we were traveling and I got pulled over for going 13 over the speed limit. Of course, I was only going 3 over until the speed limit changed and there was a cop waiting around the corner. If I had gotten an alert like this one from the app, it would have saved me a $125 fine!

The idea is to keep it limited to just speeding over x number of miles. I toyed with always showing the speed limit but that was just cluttering up the UI. This way it's most useful if you're in danger of going too fast, and there would be a voice alert along with the red sheet saying "you're over the speed limit by x mph". Then under settings you could configure how many miles over (10 by default?) as well as options to disable.

Anyway, what do you think?
