Honesty Is Still In Style

For Typeforce 7, I was inspired to create a large (8x6') silk banner to pay homage to a sign in my neighborhood. The original sign — with the sweet message of "Honesty Is Still In Style" — was mounted on the side of a check cashing business (a service that I believe tends to hurt people who are already down financially).

The banner was completely hand-fabricated, from sewing the flag to designing the lettering, to painting the final design.

Around March of this year, the check cashing business closed and took the sign with them.
